Punjab Ensures Timely Completion of Flood Victims’ Survey and Aid Distribution

Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed has assured that the ongoing survey and financial aid program for flood-affected families will be finalized on time and with complete transparency. Chairing a review meeting in Lahore, he emphasized that the rehabilitation process, initiated under the special directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is being closely monitored to ensure swift relief for all deserving victims. During the session, DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia informed participants that survey teams are actively working in every flood-affected district without interruption. He further added that the disbursement of financial assistance to verified victims will officially begin next week. The Relief Commissioner also issued a strict warning, clarifying that individuals found guilty of deliberately demolishing their own houses to claim compensation will not be eligible for any financial support. This initiative highlights the Punjab government’s commitment to providing timely rehabilitation, financial aid, and transparent relief measures for families hit hardest by the floods.
