PM Shehbaz Praises Successful Agreement on AJK Issues, Calls It a Milestone for Peace

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the efforts of the federal negotiation committee and the Joint Action Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) for successfully reaching an agreement aimed at resolving all pending issues between the two sides. In an official statement, the Prime Minister described the accord as a landmark achievement for both Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that the restoration of peace and stability marks a positive turning point in the region. Shehbaz Sharif said that with this agreement, all misunderstandings, rumours, and conspiracies have been laid to rest, paving the way for lasting harmony and cooperation. Expressing gratitude, the Prime Minister congratulated the members of the negotiation committee for their hard work and commitment to restoring calm and mutual trust. He reiterated that the federal government remains fully committed to addressing the concerns of the people of Kashmir, underscoring that public welfare and service continue to be top national priorities. The Prime Minister also urged the people of AJK to remain vigilant and not be misled by false narratives or baseless rumours. “We have always safeguarded the rights of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and we will continue to ensure their rights in the future,” he reaffirmed. This agreement, hailed as a step forward for unity and development, reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Pakistan-AJK relations through dialogue, mutual respect, and peace-building measures.
