Meghan Markle made a dazzling surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week on October 4, where she attended the Balenciaga show in her signature chic style. By her side was her trusted makeup artist and longtime friend, Daniel Martin, who also created her iconic bridal look for her 2018 royal wedding to Prince Harry.

While Prince Harry wasn’t present at the fashion event, Martin ensured Meghan’s appearance captured effortless glamour, later sharing the details of his beauty approach with Hello! magazine.

A Radiant Reunion and a Fresh Glow

Speaking about the look, Martin said he was “overwhelmed” by the incredible response to Meghan’s radiant appearance. “I hadn’t had a reaction like that since her wedding,” he admitted, describing the Paris trip as “truly inspiring.”

The celebrity artist—who also serves as Tatcha’s Global Director of Artistry and Education—explained that the key to Meghan’s glowing skin was all about prep and hydration. He began with Tatcha skincare and introduced a clever new technique to enhance her luminous finish.

The “Switch Up” That Transformed the Look

Martin revealed that he mixed Tatcha’s Longevity Serum directly into Meghan’s foundation. “That’s what gave her that juicy, dewy glow,” he explained. “It added another layer of radiance that looked completely natural.”

Instead of relying on heavy brushes or sponges, Martin applied the foundation with his hands, massaging it into the skin for a smooth, skin-like finish. “I’ll use a brush for extra coverage and then blend it with a sponge—but never apply foundation directly with a sponge,” he said.

The Finishing Touches: Light, Fresh, and Hydrated To maintain Meghan’s signature natural look, Martin kept powder application minimal. “I only used powder in her T-zone—just enough to reduce shine,” he noted, using Paris-Berlin’s pressed powder for a soft-matte effect.

For a healthy, sun-kissed glow, Martin applied Tom Ford’s contour cream as a bronzer, layering it with the Tatcha Serum Stick to enhance radiance. “We wanted her skin to look alive and hydrated,” he added. “After a long flight, skin gets dehydrated, so I just wanted to bring that life back into her complexion.”

A Beauty Look Fit for Paris

Meghan’s glowy, fresh-faced appearance quickly became one of the standout beauty moments of Paris Fashion Week 2025. With Daniel Martin’s subtle techniques and emphasis on radiant skin, the Duchess of Sussex once again proved that true elegance lies in simplicity and healthy, hydrated skin.
