Google has announced an exciting new initiative for students in Pakistan — a free one-year subscription to its Gemini AI Pro Plan. The offer is available to Pakistani university students aged 18 and above, aiming to support education, research, and creativity through cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools.

Empowering Students with Advanced AI Tools

According to Google’s official statement, the initiative is part of the company’s mission to equip students with modern AI capabilities that can enhance their learning experience at no cost.

Through the Gemini AI Pro Plan, eligible students will gain access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most advanced AI model. The tool features Deep Research, designed to help users with assignments, academic projects, and creative writing.

Gemini is also fully integrated into Google Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet. This integration allows students to automate tasks like summarising emails, generating study presentations, analysing data, and preparing reports more efficiently.

Access to NotebookLM and Creative AI Tools

Students will also benefit from NotebookLM, Google’s personalised AI assistant for research and writing. Additionally, they’ll have enhanced access to creative tools like Veo 3 in Gemini and Flow, enabling them to generate videos from text or photos with ease.

To further support academic productivity, the package includes 2TB of cloud storage shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos, giving students ample space to securely store their notes, projects, and multimedia files.

Available Across the Asia-Pacific Region

The free Gemini AI Pro Plan is being rolled out in several Asia-Pacific countries, including Pakistan, as part of Google’s global effort to make AI education accessible to all.

Eligible university students can sign up online to activate their free one-year subscription and start using Gemini’s AI-powered tools to boost their learning and creativity.

To register, students need to verify their university email address and follow the instructions on the official Google for Education website. Once verified, they’ll receive instant access to all premium Gemini AI features for 12 months.
