Gold Prices in Pakistan Hit Record High of Rs 428,200 per Tola

ISLAMABAD, October 13 (APP) – Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a historic peak on Monday, as the cost of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs 5,500 per tola, reaching Rs 428,200, compared to Rs 422,700 a day earlier, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The rate of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also witnessed a notable increase of Rs 4,715, reaching Rs 367,112 from the previous Rs 362,397. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs 4,322, bringing the new price to Rs 336,531, up from Rs 332,209.
On the international market, gold also saw a strong upward movement, advancing by $55 to settle at $4,071 per ounce, compared to $4,016 a day earlier.
Similarly, silver prices recorded an uptick. The price of per tola silver increased by Rs 147 to reach Rs 5,247, while 10 grams of silver went up by Rs 126, hitting Rs 4,498. Globally, silver was priced at $51.60 per ounce, reflecting a $1.47 increase.
Analysts attribute the surge in gold prices to heightened global uncertainty, a weaker Pakistani rupee, and rising demand for safe-haven assets among investors.
